The Hermana team is committed to overseeing every aspect of your event. Your involvement in the process is part of the experience, we encourage collaboration however, if leaving it to us is more suited for you then we’d love to lead the way.
What we do for our Communities
We give back to our community, Hermana Catering donates 2-5% of it’s profits from every event to food distribution efforts in Sullivan County, situated in the southern Catskill mountains. Our commitment to food justice is part of our mission and as our client list grows so does our postitive impact within a landscape of increased food insecurity.

Erin Moore Founder and Chef
Chef Erin Moore decided to take her love of cooking and hosting by officially launching Hermana Catering in 2017. Her cooking reflects a combination of reverence and curiosity for all cuisines and their cultures. The foods of Spain are her personal favorite but this is just a small detail, she will impress your friends and family with her ability to recreate the foods that feel like home
Erin’s commitment to food justice and time spent as a public school teacher before her leap into hospitality has granted her unique perspectives around the collective power of a shared meal. She believes that food should be luxurious but not a luxury. Erin will cook your favorite foods with love, she might even use one of your grandmother’s recipes if you ask her to.
About Melinda Meddaugh
With over two decades of experience in the restaurant industry, Melinda Meddaugh brings unmatched hospitality, efficiency, and heart to every production. Since 1999, she has worn nearly every front-of-house hat—from waitress to bartendr to manager—building an intuitive understanding of what it takes to create memorable dining experiences.
Beyond the restaurant doors, Melinda is a passionate advocate for local food systems. She's led farmers markets, built strong relationships with local growers, and spearheaded programs across Sullivan County to combat food insecurity. Her expertise in procurement, logistics, and event planning powers seamless execution for gatherings both large and intimate.
Whether she's managing large-scale catering events or hosting thoughtfully curated community experiences, Melinda blends professionalism with a warm personal touch. Her deep ties to the farming community and unwavering commitment to quality make her the cornerstone of your next catered celebration.
